At Brooklyn Musicworks your child can join a real rock band under the careful guidance of some the areas most accomplished teachers. Our twelve week program takes place in a fully equipped, professional rehearsal studio. Students will learn the basics of performance in a small group setting through playing classic and modern rock songs as well as working on an original song. Each twelve week program culminates with the big show at professional sound stage in Park Slope.
Family and friends are invited.

Rock band classes
The foundation of every musician starts with the right teacher at the right time. Private lessons are the most effective way to start a child down a successful path in learning a musical instrument. We offer lessons for all the instruments that make rock bands rock.
Our goals as instructors are to teach our students to perform while also learning the fundamentals of music literacy. That includes a working knowledge of song arrangements, chord names, scales and rhythms.
We use a combination of time tested methods to promote all of the above while accelerating the process of getting kids prepared to rock out in a band setting.

What makes us different
A music school is only as good as its teachers and we have some of the best. We are a small group of professional musicians who perform regularly with music icons as diverse as Norah Jones, Nick Cave, Elle King and many more. We write music for film and TV and perform on Broadway. Our teachers live in the neighborhood and are invested in our community. We understand children because we are parents too. We also love to teach.
